Pushups With Two Chairs

You can make this exercise harder by resting your hands on two chairs when performing this movement. This increases your range of motion--your chest actually dips below the level of your hands (not possible on the floor)--providing a much more powerful workout to your arms, chest, shoulders and back.

BONUS TIP: Want to work your chest more than your triceps muscles? Here's the secret--move the chairs farther apart! The effect on the chest or pectoral muscles will be greater.

BONUS TIP 2: Want to work your shoulders more? Move the chairs farther in front of the hands and shoulders. The deltoids will get a greater workout! Exercise equally in both these positions for a balanced physique.
